Buon Italia: The Soft Opening of Trattoria Neapolis

What? Two foodie reviews in one week? Let’s just say my stomach has been busy, haha. My good buddy Ken who took me to the soft opening of Bow & Truss also invited me to check out his new gig at Trattoria Neapolis.

I would do this fine establishment a disservice to describe to you the intricate levels of beauty that approach your eyes with each step through. That being said you can find incredible imagery here thanks to Eater.com.

I had one of the best times of my life just hanging out at Neapolis’ bar though. Great drinks, an incredible bar staff and food so good…well let’s just say they do Italian exactly right. Almost everything is made in house. The salami is cured there at Neapolis. It is the real deal.

Check out their menu here.

The front entry off Lake.

Even the back door is inviting!

Its hard to go wrong ordering Bolognese. My taste buds were rewarded for a good choice! Rigatoni Pasta, Short Rib Bolognese, Pancetta, Grana Padano Cheese

Peaches & Herb – Fresh Peach, Fresh Sage, Sazerac Rye, St Germain, Fresh Lemon Juice = DELICIOUS

Panna Cotta for dessert – Greek Yoghurt-Honey Panna Cotta with Apricot Granita, Basil Gelatini, Candied Hazelnuts

Happy eating!
