What do you wear to the Hollywood Bowl, especially if you’re going to see Mel Brook’s acclaimed hit The Producers? I decided to pack my camera for my first trip to this incredible open-air venue not to immortalize my experience in pictures, but to catch people and what they wore.

Let me sidebar and just say an experience at the Hollywood Bowl is INCREDIBLE. They let you bring whatever you want to eat or drink, and if you go with great friends like I did you are sure to be in for a memorable night. Oh, and Terrace seats can be great seats, FYI.

The show itself was a knockout. The Producers transition from film to stage was seamless and wonderfully brought to life thanks in part to the leads Richard Kind and Jesse Tyler Ferguson from Modern Family. Their chemistry as two guys trying to cheat the system and bankroll a Broadway flop was on fire. The music and the laughs were non-stop. Dane Cook‘s surprise appearance as neo-nazi Franz Liebkind stole the show…even from knock-out Swed impersonator Rebecca Romijn!

Running into Jerry O’Connell, Jane Lynch, Rachel McAdams with her boyfriend Michael Sheen, only served to make this one of my absolute favorite nights in Los Angeles thus far.
